TYLOO reverse sweeps Sharks to keep Major campaign alive
TYLOO have kept their IEM Cologne Major 2026 campaign alive after a strong reverse sweep win against Sharks in their 1-2 bracket elimination game. The Chinese team started on the backfoot but their star JamYoung led the comeback that saw TYLOO fight back to not only pick up their second win in Cologne but also stay alive in Stage 1 of the Major. The loss marks the end of the road for Sharks in Cologne Major 2026 while TYLOO moves to the 2-2 bracket.
Barring a multi-kill round from Jee including a collat and a Ramp shutdown in the final round of the half, there was nothing else TYLOO found on their CT side on Nuke as Sharks started with a 8-4 score line on their own map pick. The Sharks started with a clean CT pistol and waltzed to a comfortable and dominant 13-6 win on their map pick to draw first blood in the elimination game.
TYLOO fought back on their pick of Inferno, as a late streak of T rounds helped them go 8-4 up on their T side before a near flawless CT half saw TYLOO tie up the series with a 13-5 win. Moving to the decider on Anubis, there was nothing to separate the teams at the half as five on the trot towards the very end of the half saw TYLOO turn around a 1-6 half to 6-6. The Brazilians locked in the second half pistol and conversions but JamYoung led the CT comeback for TYLOO as they stepped up when needed with JamYoung's 29 kill performance helping TYLOO lock in a 13-10 win.
