Alleged farming bot spotted in Indian Premier game

Cheating has been an age old problem in Counter-Strike and with the release of Counter-Strike 2, things went from bad to worse. While Premier is was plagued with cheaters, casual, deathmatch and other game modes were hijacked by farming bots. These accounts are run by scripts that set a path for the bots to follow in game and an aimbot that automatically kills enemies once spotted.

While Valve banned over 900,000 bot accounts earlier this year, they only scratched the surface, leaving an unfathomable number of bots still running around in deathmatch and other casual game modes, delivering donk like headshots to rack up points and gain XP towards the weekly care package or the Armory Pass.

However, the latest entry to the long list of bad news for the everyday player comes from an Indian Premier match where allegedly a farming bot was spotted running around and landing robotic one-taps. A Reddit user who went by u/mithumad143 took to r/GlobalOffensive, sharing footage from the match. The post was quickly taken down but not before the nade-pundit @NartOutHere reposted the story on X.

In the video clip, an account by the name "AI.Bot" is seen moving around with weird pathing and robotically flicking over to one-tap any enemy in sight. The incident took place on de_cache and the bot was on a rampage with over 130 ADR, six rounds into the game on the T-side.
