The MongolZ makes BLAST Bounty LAN in Malta after win over Wildcard
The MongolZ have secured themselves a place in the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 LAN portion as the Mongolian team, in their first outing with their new roster secures a playoffs spot. The MongolZ beat Wildcard in their advancement game with their new signing tikuak having an impactful series that helped The MongolZ pick up the win.
Kicking things off on Wildcard's pick of Dust2, it was The MongolZ storming to a 6-1 start on their CT side before a couple of late clutches, chaotic B hits saw Wildcard salvage the half with five T rounds. A big round from nEMANHA gave Wildcard a much needed CT pistol and after converting against the pistols, the score was tied at 7-7. Openers from tikuak and a big 1v3 from tikuak saw The MongolZ hit double digit first. A couple of multi-kill rounds from 910's AWP helped The MongolZ ease to a 13-7 win with tikuak and 910 topping the scoreboard with 23 and 19 kills respectively.
On The MongolZ's pick of Inferno it was Wildcard fighting back after a slow start saw late momentum on the CT side for Wildcard saw them go from 2-4 down to tie up the score at 6-6. An A site retake on their CT side meant The MongolZ locked in both pistols on their map pick and it was the same story as Dust2 as Wildcard's momentum fizzed out in the second half as The MongolZ eased to a 13-9 win to seal the series 2-0.
The win confirms a spot in the Malta LAN portion for The MongolZ as they join the six other confirmed teams who have booked their Playoffs spot already.
