The MongolZ debuts new roster with a win over HEROIC
The MongolZ's first outing with their new signings, DarkMeister and tikuak, was a positive one for the Mongolian team as they beat HEROIC in their opening game at the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2. The MongolZ had to do it the hard way as it was a reverse sweep from The MongolZ to send HEROIC home and stay alive in the event. Their new signings, DarkMeister ended with a 1.15 rating while tikuak finished with a 0.97 rating.
HEROIC's pick of Nuke was the series opener where HEROIC, despite losing to a force buy after their T side pistol win, fought back with a strong T side thanks to the trio of MartinezSa, nilo and susp to go 8-4 up. A near flawless CT half meant HEROIC eased to a 13-5 win with nilo standing out on the CT side and ending the map with 20 kills and an incredible 1.92 rating.
Moving to Cache, The MongolZ managed to put up a five T rounds thanks to a 17 kill half from 910 and the duo of DarkMeister and bLitz powered The MongolZ to a 13-8 win to tie up the series. 910 was the star on Cache for The MongolZ with 24 kills and a 1.78 rating. After seeing off a mid push to pick up the opening pistol on Dust2, bLitz turned around a 3v5 for The MongolZ to avoid dropping a round to the upgraded pistols which helped them start with a 3-0 start on the decider. After picking up an initial advantage, a couple of weird calls from bLitz saw HEROIC fight back into the half and the Swedish team managed to keep The MongolZ's lead to two rounds with a 7-5 half.
The second half pistol and conversion saw HEROIC tie up the score instantly. It was The MongolZ picking up the first couple of gun rounds on their CT side before a back and forth half saw HEROIC convert a force buy hit on the B site thanks to susp's Tec-9 openers to push the map to overtime. The MongolZ's newest player DarkMeister stepped up in overtime and it was his 36 kill performance that saw The MongolZ pick up a 19-16 win to complete the reverse sweep.
