You can't do that, s1mple! That's not allowed! This is not FPL! This is a major!

Every Graffiti in CS:GO Major History

We look at all the Graffitis added in-game to celebrate legendary plays from the CS:GO Majors.

Over the 18 Majors in CS:GO history, we have had many legendary plays that demonstrated the excellence, creativity and sheer skill of the best players in the world. From s1mple's double noscope to Dosia's legendary grenade, here are all the in-game graffiti and their origins.

olofmeister Molotov Defuse - Overpass - ESL One Cologne 2014

We kick things off with one of the most famous moments in CS:GO history. It was the semi-finals of ESL One: Cologne 2014 and it was the penultimate round on Overpass and Team Dignitas took on Fnatic. Dignitas got the bomb down on the B-site with the Swedes needing to retake. As the retake came in, it was an absolute brawl which ended up with Dignitas mollying the bomb. olofmeister though did not care about the flames, he had one objective in mind, to get the bomb defused. olofmeister stuck the defuse standing in the fire and even though he eventually went down to the flames, he managed to get the defuse and win the round for Fnatic.

To celebrate olof's heroic play, Valve added a graffiti on the B-site of Overpass which showcases an angelic CT defusing the bomb in the flames.

olofboost - Overpass - Dreamhack Winter 2014

The next graffiti is one of CS:GO most infamous moments, if there was ever one! It is olofmeister once again and again the Swede managed to put in a jaw-dropping move on Overpass, which changed the game forever.

During the DreamHack Winter 2014 quarter-final between Fnatic and Team LDLC, the Swedes were trailing 3-12 as they switched over to the CT side. On their CT half, Fnatic had found a loophole on the A-site which allowed olof to boost from CT spawn and take out player near the T base and B site of the map. Round after round olof would be boosted up and taking out the LDLC members as they ran around clueless as to what was hitting them.

The boost was so famous, or infamous should we say that, Valve fixed the boost, preventing it from happening again and even put up a sign near the area where olof was boosted. The sign in German asks people not to climb the railings.

Fnatic Quad AWP - Dust2 - ESL One Cologne 2015

Taking place on one of Counter-Strike's most iconic maps, our next entry is another one involving Fnatic. This one took place during the ESL One: Cologne 2015 Grand Final between Team EnVyUs and Fnatic. On their T side, Fnatic surprised everyone including EnVyUs by equipping themselves with four AWPs to hold the mid doors. One the other side was apEX who unfortunately decided to peek mid. apEX was inevitably killed by one of the AWP-ers, with this bold move making everyone take notice.

Valve gave this move its own tribute by adding a graffiti near T Spawn with a terrorist wielding 4 AWPs but this graffiti was removed following the Dust2 update in 2017.

coldzera Jumping Double - Mirage - MLG Columbus 2016

On one of CS:GO's most played maps lies a tribute to one of the greats of the game. At the MLG Columbus 2016 semi-final which had Luminosity Gaming take on Team Liquid, it was a play from coldzera that stunned the world. Defending the B site while being against map point, coldzera was stationed at the van with an AWP. The Brazilian was jump-checking to get information from the B apartments and as he saw the Ts come through the apartments in a pack, instead of falling back, coldzera took the fight to them. Whilst jumping he killed adreN and then he took out EliGE and s1mple in a no-scope collateral before no-scoping nitr0 out of the round. The heroic play not only kept the Brazilians alive in the match but saw them make a comeback and then eventually win the tournament.

To honour coldzera's special performance, Valve put a graffiti of a winged CT jumping with four red skulls added to it indicating the four kills.

s1mple Double No=scope - Cache - ESL One Cologne 2016

There can't be any list of CS:GO without having s1mple in it. The Great One as he is known, gave the world a glimpse of the greatness they were about to witness at the ESL One: Cologne 2016 semi-final when he was playing for Team Liquid. Liquid were up against Fnatic and it was on the CT side of Cache that s1mple provided the CS:GO community with one of the all-time great plays. Left in a 1v2 clutch, s1mple dropped out of Heaven and while falling he no-scoped dennis out of the round. What makes this play truly great is the he didn't have two 1v1 fights, KRIMZ was right beside dennis but s1mple was so fast that even before KRIMZ could trade his teammate, s1mple no-scoped KRIMZ out of the round from a distance.

This insane play was given its honour on Cache as there is a graffiti of a winged CT with a scope-less AWP and a target around his head.

friberg Banana Via Adamo - Inferno - Added in 2016

One of the original members of the great Ninjas in Pyjamas line-up, friberg has his own legacy in the game. friberg was a menace on Inferno and was nick-named the 'King of Banana' for his bold and outrageous Banana plays which would inevitably pay off all the time. His daring plays on Banana, which saw him get an ace during the ESL One: Cologne 2014 Grand Final, a 4K from the porch during the finals of the Copenhagen Games 2014 and other such incredible plays was eventually given its due by Valve when their added a 'Via Adamo' sign near the sandbags on Banana. The sign translates to 'Adam Street' which is a tribute to friberg's name Adam Friberg.

Dosia Nade - Inferno - PGL Krakow 2017

One of the more recent graffitis came during the Grand Finals of the PGL Kraków 2017 which had Gambit Esports take on the Immortals. The play which was eventually highlighted was Dosia on the CT side for Gambit. Gambit had, had a strong CT half and had more or less broken Immortals' economy. During this specific play on the 11th round of the game, Dosia was left in a 1v3 clutch on A site. He knew he couldn't win the round but the thinking player that he is, he wasn't going to take a round loss without inflicting damage to his opponents. Just saw the round was about to get over, with the bomb all set to blast, the remaining Ts took shelter in the pit. Dosia knew this and also about their economic woes and threw a perfectly placed and time grenade. The nade and the bomb blast killed the remaining Ts and it kept the Immortals on a weak buy when after a round loss.

This ingenious play was given its own place in CS:GO history as there is a poster at the corner where the killed his opponents with a quote in Italian which says 'No, you can't escape now.'

AGO Danger Zone - Blacksite - IEM Katowice 2019

The latest CS:GO graffiti is from the IEM Katowice 2019 Major. The Major, like most others today, had a showmatch but one thing that was different was that the winners of the showmatch was awarded a graffiti on the black site map.

Furlan and GruBy, who were representing AGO Esports, won the showmatch and the final round saw Furlan take down both jks and SPUNJ to eventually win the map. The spot from where Furlan killed both of them now has a graffiti with the signatures of GruBy and Furlan both along with a wolf in the background.

Valve has stopped adding graffitis to the game for Major plays since 2017, despite many deserving plays like the Stewie3k that caused the Boston Miracle for C9, or the 3 bullet, 3 headshot set from dev1ce on Train at the Berlin Major, or even the failed one deag from NiKo that allowed NaVi to win a Major without dropping a single map. Hopefully with the CS2 Majors, Valve can bring back graffitis, and maybe even retroactively create graffitis for some of the recent deserving plays.
