TYLOO talks about their IEM Cologne 2025 run and more

TYLOO went out of Cologne in Stage 1

Fresh off their incredible win at FISSURE Playground 1, where TYLOO beat Astralis in the Grand Final to pick up an international LAN title, the Chinese team were high on confidence coming into IEM Cologne 2025.

TYLOO had a rushed schedule from Belgrade to Cologne and they were right into the action in IEM Cologne 2025 Stage 1. They lost their opening game to electroNic's Virtus.pro but bounced back against Complexity. In the decider game against 3DMAX, TYLOO could've 2-0'd their way to Stage 2 but an overtime loss on their map pick of Inferno and dropping a 9-3 lead on Ancient meant that TYLOO were unable to get out of Stage 1 and exited in 9-12th place.

Following their loss to 3DMAX which knocked them out, Dust2 India managed to have a short chat with TYLOO's manager CruSad3, who spoke about the Cologne exit, a hectic schedule and TYLOO's place in Asian Counter-Strike currently.

Dust2 India was able to have a chat with CruSad3 thanks to our sister site, Dust2.dk's reporter mad0, who is on ground in Cologne and helped to get the interview done.

An early exit from IEM Cologne 2025 after winning FISSURE, what do you think went wrong in Cologne?

We can make a lot of excuses like for example, we didn't have time to prepare for the new patch etc. or just the travel but in general we should've played better. We will look at our demos and see what went wrong, especially for this match. We have lot of tournaments to play and even though we lost IEM Cologne we still need to work harder and prepare for the next events.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks, do you think the constant travelling has been a reason for the poor performance in this event? Were you guys able to adapt to the schedule switching from FISSURE to Cologne so quick?

Yeah, especially for us, it's rare for us to have this kind of an experience (back-to-back tournaments), to have played in the Grand Final (FISSURE Playground 1) and then flying here, and with a new patch. It's a new experience for us and it shows that we still have to learn a lot. If we want to stay up (with the big teams) we need to get used to this kind of stuff.

Has the FISSURE Playground 1 win put extra pressure on you guys, especially given the lack of teams doing well at the international level from Asia, aside from The MongolZ?

I think mentally, not so much, there was nothing from the team to the players that they have to perform better, just because we won FISSURE Playground 1. A little bit of more preparation time would've been better here, but it is what it is.
