BIG starts Skyesports CEGC 2025 campaign with a stomp over Nemesis SEA
Tournament favourites, BIG, kicked off their Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025 campaign with a win over Nemesis SEA as the German team picked up a relatively comfortable 2-0. The German squad were pushed on the opening halves of both maps but found momentum on the second halves to pick up two clean map wins.
Nemesis' pick of Nuke got the series underway with a tabseN squad handing the German team the CT pistol. After four in a row from BIG, a Zumss quad kill saw Nemesis turn around a 2v5 to get their first T round. A couple of B hits and a w1nt3r double opener on the top site saw Nemesis go on to tie up the score at 5-5. Impact from JBOEN and JDC at the end of the half saw BIG threaten to take the lead but a Kuma 1v2 in the final round of the half saw a 6-6 scoreline.
JDC and tabseN opened up the A site to see BIG pick up both pistols on Nuke and a near-flawless T side from the German team saw them race to a 13-8 win with their captain leading from the front, topping the scoreboard with 25 kills.
Nemesis started Overpass with a clean pistol round and kept it clean early on to go 3-0 up. With the guns out, it was JDC with impact, opening up sites as BIG went 6-3 up before Derek and Zumss' AWP kept it at a tied half. It was another near flawless half from the German side, on their CT side as they closed the series at 13-7. JDC topped the charts on Overpass with 24 kills as BIG picked up a 2-0 series win.
