SIXER on good French teams: "There is 3DMAX, two players playing for Vitality, but if we win this tournament, there can be Mousquetaires"
Despite a valiant effort from Wicked Gaming, in the final Group B match Mousquetaires managed to outlast them to win the Group game 2-0 and also book their spot in the finals of the Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) 2025.
After the game, Dust2 India caught up with their AWPer Christophe 'SIXER' Xia, who shared his thoughts about the game, the upcoming Grand Final, and the future of French Counter-Strike.
We saw a much better showing from Wicked Gaming today. Did they surprise you with their performance?
Skill-wise? Yes. Honestly, not on the first map but on the second map. They were starting to play their game I think, and we were surprised yeah.
How is the team feeling on LAN?
I think we feel pretty good. But we didn't have any time to practice, since three days. We have practice room, but we have no opponents. So we are not 100% in shape.
Now you are into the finals against BIG, how do you think the game will go?
We played against them maybe 10 days ago. Before coming here. We lost 0-2 but now we are on LAN and anything can happen. We are pretty confident.
Talking about French Counter-Strike now, there are not a lot of good French teams right now, apart from 3DMAX. How do you think the future for French CS is shaping up to be?
For sure, there are not a lot of teams. There is only 3DMAX, and another team called GenOne. There are two French players playing for Vitality. But maybe if we can win this tournament, maybe we can have another team Mousquetaire.
