Chinggis Warriors make ECL S50 APAC Finals over Kaleido
Chinggis Warriors have booked their place in the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Finals after winning the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 4. The Mongolian team reverse swept Kaleido in the finals and it was an incredible comeback from Chinggis Warriors after starting the series with a 0-12 score line on Dust2.
It was a disastrous start for Chinggis Warriors as they went missing to get the series underway on Dust2. A clean sweep on the T side from Kaleido saw rage's AWP take controle, which saw the Chinese teamgo 12-0 up and while Chinggis managed a couple on their own T side, it was Kaleido holding on for a 13-4 win. Chinggis put up a better showing to get their pick of Inferno going and managed six T rounds. It was Efire and cool4st carrying the Mongolian team over the line on their CT side as the Mongolian team held on for a nervy 13-11 win to tie up the series.
A Donut shut down from Kaleido saw the Chinese team start the decider on Ancient with the CT pistol. Kaleido though didn't find much on their gun rounds post the initial conversions off the pistol as Chinggis Warriors went on to take a 7-5 lead. yAmi and cool4st' double in the second pistol evened out the pistols on the decider and Chinggis Warriors held on against a nervy force buy which saw rubeN knifing Efire.
A back and forth half saw a trade of rounds and it Kaleido taking the advantage towards the end, breaking the Mongolian team's economy. Chinggis nearly picked up an 11th round off the back of a couple of upgraded pistols which brought them back into the game and held on for a 13-11 win to reverse sweep the series 2-1.
Chinggis Warriors now joins Lynn Vision and Rare Atom, who have won the previous APAC Cups and the winner of the APAC Finals will make their way to the ESL Pro League Season 23 Stage 1.
