The MongolZ sent to Katowice quarter-finals after NAVI hammering
After becoming the first team from Asia to make the Playoffs at IEM Katowice 2025, The MongolZ came tumbling back to Earth after being handed a proper beating from Natus Vincere (NAVI) in the Group B upper bracket final.
The series kicked off on NAVI's pick of Mirage, which was a non-starter for the Asian team as one CT round was all The MongolZ could manage on their way to a 3-13 massacre. Ancient started in a similar manner as NAVI's defence shut out The MongolZ once again, which saw Aleksib and co. take a 9-3 lead before a crucial Techno double opener on the Dualies saw The MongolZ pick up a much needed pistol on their CT side which saw them bring it to a one-round game. NAVI shut down any comeback attempts as late impact from b1t saw them close out the map at 13-9 to lock in a 2-0 series win.
The loss at the hands of NAVI send The MongolZ to the quarter-finals while NAVI breeze into the semi-finals of IEM Katowice 2025.
