TYLOO moves closer to Stage 3 qualification after win over Astralis
TYLOO have moved one step closer to qualifying for Stage 3 at the ongoing IEM Cologne Major 2026 after picking up a big BO1 win against Astralis in their 1-1 bracket game. TYLOO's win sees them move to the 2-1 bracket and the Chinese team are one BO3 win away from qualifying for Stage 3.
TYLOO kicked off the action on Nuke with a instant A hit as Zero and Moseyuh opened up the site for a comfortable pistol win. After picking up a clean confersion against the eco, Moseyuh and Jee opened up the Secret pathway for a B hit with a Zero double kill confirming the first gun round for the Chinese team. TYLOO had the pathway for a 4-0 locked in but it was HooXi's Five-Seven with a triple in front of Hut that saw Astralis pick up their first round on the back of an upgraded pistol buy.
The pistol buy steal helped Astralis tie up the score in no time before A double Zero opener on the top site saw TYLOO get back on the board after a three round gap. Jee continued TYLOO's win streak with a big 1v2 as the Chinese team converted a 2v4. A couple of back-to-back rounds from TYLOO saw them break Astralis' economy as they went on to win out the opening half at 7-5 with a ryu 1v2 in the final round of the half helping Astralis find a fifth. ryu came in with more impact as a triple from him saw Astralis net the second half pistol but a Mercury triple on the force made sure TYLOO didn't allow the score to be tied up.
The pistol turned out to be the only round Astralis managed on their T side as TYLOO wasted no time to wrap things up at 13-6 to pick up a big win. Like the duo has done for the majority of the Major, the Zero and JamYoung duo was on top of the scoreboard for TYLOO which saw TYLOO move into the 2-1 bracket.
