FlyQuest eliminated from IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2 with a 0-3 record
FlyQuest's IEM Cologne Major 2026 campaign has come to a disappointing end after the Australian team became the first team in Stage 2 to be sent home. FlyQuest leaves Stage 2 with a 0-3 record as they failed to put up a win in Stage 2 after a 0-2 loss to Brazilian squad paiN in the 0-2 bracket elimination game. While the loss marks the end of the road for FlyQuest, paiN stay alive as they move into the 1-1 bracket.
Despite losing the opening pistol and force buy on paiN's pick of Nuke, an early pistol round win for FlyQuest had them with the advantage but the Tec-9 of vsm saw paiN answer back with a force and it was all paiN moving on from there on as the Brazilian team went 8-4 up at the half. A retake on the top site saw paiN lock in both pistols but it was INS with a big 1v2 that saw FlyQuest answer back with the force. FlyQuest brought it to a two-round game before paiN picked up their first gun round and it was one-way traffic post that as paiN started the series with a 13-7 win on their map pick.
biguzera's 1v2 won to time saw the Brazilians start FlyQuest's pick of Anubis with the T pistol and it was seven in a row before FlyQuest got on the board. The Australian team had the chance to salvage the half but paiN won a couple of last minute chaotic rounds to take a 9-3 lead.
A quad kill from Vexite saw him and story turn around a 2v5 to see FlyQuest pick up a crucial pistol and the Australian team held on against a scary force buy scrap on the A site. FlyQuest brought it to another two-round gap and it looked like the scores could get closer but piriajr's triple Deagle in middle saw paiN steal their first CT round. paiN held on to close things out at 13-10. paiN's 2-0 win meant the Brazilians stayed alive while FlyQuest went home with a poor 0-3 record.
