FlyQuest fumble early advantage to fall to 0-2 bracket
FlyQuest were unable to close out strong start on Dust2 against Legacy which has dropped the Australian team to the 0-2 bracket at the ongoing IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2. FlyQuest are now staring at elimination and need to win three back-to-back BO3s to qualify while Legacy moves into the 1-1 bracket and are two BO3 wins away from making Stage 3.
Vexite's Tec-9 saw FlyQuest negate Legacy's CT pistol win on Dust2 which helped the Australian team race away to an early 5-1 lead. saadzin's AWP came in with a double opener to see Legacy find their second and impactful multi-kill rounds from dumau and n1ssim helped Legacy bring it back to a tied opening half.
A quick A hit saw the Brazilians retake the lead on Dust2 after secure both pistols and Legacy's T side was unmatched as the Brazilians went on a five round T streak before story's AWP helped FlyQuest find their first CT round with a B hit shut down. Legacy went back to the A site and an arT quad kill saw Legacy hit match point which they converted at 13-7 to lock in a comfortable win.
